I thought the video was awesome! It is something I have found myself thinking about again and again! I hope other schools have the same chance to make a change like is doing here! Keep it up, SWAG!
SWAG, you are EXTRAORDINARY people, making EXTRAORDINARY differences!!! Keep it up and you can change a life today, tomorrow, and always!!! I am proud to stand behind you and always support you! God Bless!
Loved it! ^.~ so awesome i was thinking if we make a different video we could do the song "When we stand together" by Nickelback :'D just my epic idea ;) (>^.^)> kirby
I agree:) I've heard from several people (mostly parents) that a student was joking around or picking on another student, and a third student stepped in and stood up for the one being picked on. It's so rewarding knowing that all of our anti-bullying and Upstander efforts are being practiced and modeled throughout our school. Amen!!!!
The only bad thing about a lip dub is it's continuous; you don't stop recording until the end. No cutting, pasting, or editing. So, if 1 person messes up...it stays in the video. We all learned a lot by making the video. I wish we could have done 1 more take, but we ran out of time. All and all, EVERYONE looked great! Pretty, handsome, cute, funny. Some ppl tripped, the lighting was off, some sang the wrong lines, but it turned out AWESOME! You have to remember that we are our own worse critics. What you see about yourself, others do not! The videographer reminded me how wonderful it turned out for first-time junior high students. No one was an actor, or a professional, but YOU all did fantastic! We will make another one next year, and we will ALL be better prepared for it!!
i hope anyone who ever came and or will come enjoys this video just as much as we enjoyed making it!!!!! i think bullying has become such a big problem that NEEDS to be stopped. what better way than to make a video. i mean all we basically do at home most of what we do is text and watch youtube. i don't know for sure that this will win the contest BUT it will probably have really good chances. Mrs. Stokled, u rock!! BYE!!!!
It's so easy to "rock" when you deal with kids that are as awesome as all of YOU!!! I am being 100% serious when I say that I've never met such wonderful students before OLQHS!! I <3 y'all with all of my <3!!!
Oh my gosh i cant believe we won the contest with wicked!!!!! this is soooooooooo cool! In fact i think this is Wicked cool.:P (ha ha I'm punny) This is such an amazing opportunity.(I mean how often do YOU get to meet really famous people)Mrs.Stokeld thank you for giving us this opportunity!!!!! Now,lets hope this wins the ten thousand dollars!!!!!!!!! BYE!!!!
I think for this year we could do a cool scene on the playground or in the cafeteria and in the slight background we could be playing the song "Mean" by Taylor Swift. Just a suggestion.
Wow. This is all I can say. Mrs. Stokled thank you for giving me the best few years of my life with this club. You mean the world to me and all the kids you have inspired and helped. I leave OLQH and SWAG with a heavy heart. I wish the best for this club and for you in all future endeavors. With love, A 2013-2014 OLQH 8th Grader
I am working on uploading the video to the SWAG site so that everyone can see it. Stay tuned..... and have a happy, bully free day!! Love. xoxo
